Nature's Rhythm Acupuncture Philosophy in Durango, Colorado

Our Philosophy

Health and inner peace come from a strong sense of living through the core of our being. This intentional process of leading from our center allows for ease and confidence when accomplishing challenging situations. Commonly, people become faced with difficult circumstances, so acting from the source of a solid foundation provides strength, self kindness, and a unified feeling between our body, mind, and spirit to respond from. This response opens our whole being to the creative process of working toward our life’s purpose with abundant resources.

Acupuncture and holistic kinesiology focus on connecting with the aspects of ourselves that remain whole and in a consistent state of motion at our foundation. When we are present in this “flow state” we have an increased awareness of our energy force extending beyond ourselves. This creative force is continually being redefined to support our individual paths. As we choose to transform beyond our old patterns of illness this creates new opportunities for self discovery and a heightened sense of purpose in our life.

“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.”

- Lao Tzu

Ancient and modern healing modalities are used to communicate through the body to guide the natural course of healing.

About Evan at Nature's Rhythm Acupuncture

About Evan

I was born and raised in Gunnison, CO, living closely with the drastic seasonal changes while pursuing amazing outdoor experiences. After high school, I moved to Durango to attend Fort Lewis College where I studied business and spent time in the mountains and desert. After college, I decided to call Durango my permanent home. As time went on I had various sport related injuries that started to impact my life. I soon became open to trying acupuncture and adapting my lifestyle to remedy my health. As time passed I became educated in Chinese medicine theory, qi gong, tai chi, yoga, and mediation as self-healing practices.

Finally, I decided to go to Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO because of their well-rounded academic program. At school, I received a superb education in treating emotional issues, digestive issues, trauma, and chronic pain through the study of Japanese and Chinese acupuncture and the modern techniques associated with Sports acupuncture. In the summer of 2021, I graduated from my extensive and strenuous program where I received well over 1000 hours of clinical practice while maintaining a full-time class load each semester. Going through the process of achieving a three-year master's program gave me many different technical skills, but it also gave me the confidence to continue pursuing my lifelong goals that support others in empowering themselves and their health.

“I got to know Evan’s great work when I had a pinched nerve in my neck
and a great deal of pain radiating down into my shoulder. I tried all
manner of things to relieve the pain to no avail. Evan’s acupuncture
treatments proved to be the best way of backing the pain off so I could
continue with the massage, exercise and stretching to get me back on the
trails and slopes. I’ve been to a number of professional in bodywork and
acupuncture over the years. Evan is top notch!
